E TA left this review about The Vine
The Vine is a large, modern High Street pub, a building which sticks out because of its bright exterior decor and incongruous shape. The front bar is cavernous and newly decorated, with bare boards, tv screens and a dartboard. A raised seating area gives it a bit of a club feel. A slightly smaller room to the rear has a pool table. Staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was light and peaceful. Clientele were civilised and the pub is dog-friendly. Adjacent is an annex called The Vinery which can be hired as a function room. It is open all day for food and drink. There was only one ale on, Doombar, which was in good condition. Overall it's a strange pub which caters well for its community. It is currently for sale, though, so may be endangered. Worth a visit and I would include in a crawl.
