A 1960s roadside pub in a busy, but somewhat dilapidated, town area which would make a good set for the next Mad Max movie. The pub is stuck in a time-warp, it's falling apart and is populated by mutants. If they make the movie in "smellyvision", there will be a lot of richness at this site. The young barman was keen, friendly, enthusiastic and bright, and so was a bit out of place here; he rushed over to greet us, glad to see some normal humans. The public, or games, bar had a tv and dartboard, and the walls were cluttered with posters of tobacco products. There was an empty lounge bar and an outside smoking area, another good set for a post-armaggedon scene. No real ale. If an asteroid ever hits Hampshire, I'll head straight back here.
