Schizophrenic place with a * CAMRA Heritage interior. Inside is a not-quite-finished refurb, plum and white, black and white beams with a retention of the old quarry tile flooring and turmeric coloured stained tables. Fake drawer fronts on the plummy lower servery. A genuine surprise to see 3x Charnwood ales and the Stout was well looked after if not clearly shifting (NBBS 2.5). Someone's trying but I struggled to warm to it.
