Rex Rattus left this review about The Plough Inn
I went through the one door that was standing open, which took me into what was clearly the public bar. There were three or four regulars by the bar who all stared at me silently – eventually I decided to make the first move and said hello, which I’m glad to say was reciprocated. The public bar is a very basic bar, with lino flooring, a couple of simple wooden tables with hard wooden chairs, a few stools at the bar, a games machine and one-armed bandit, and nothing else of note. I could see into what must have been the saloon bar, which was considerably larger than the public bar, with numerous standard tables and chairs. This leads into a beer garden. Apparently they do food at lunchtimes, but unluckily for me the lady who prepares it had apparently popped out on an errand. I don’t know if she returned during the half hour or so I was in there, but if she did the barman didn’t tell me. They don’t sell any real ale. I can’t see any reason to return.
