Old Boots left this review about Kings Arms Hotel

A small “cocktail” bar in a fairly posh hotel, it’s aimed primarily at residents I’m not certain it is open to the public. Beerwise a single T-Bar plus Guinness and Moretti on solos. The T-Bar has Stella and Kopparberg plus two brewed for the hotel by small Scottish brewer Tempest, an unimpressive lager and an IPA I didn’t try. Limited seating although there’s a residents only lounge opposite, a mid height bench with integral table and some armless seats to one side. The other side has small drinking shelves and odd semi drum shaped high stools. Decor is postage stamp wallpaper and miscellaneous photos and pictures.

Large building with a small and upmarket bar. There’s a dimly lit main room decorated via a daytime TV programme’s idea of posh - fake fire and cushions along with some black and white prints and penny black wallpaper. Through a random arch finds you the bar where a load of standard keg greets you. Perhaps stupidly I went for the most unusual one - Tetleys Pale - which was dire…to screw up a keg beer takes a lot of effort. In addition, the dire pumped music and a Scouser barman with a little rat moustache made sure exit was swift.
