A good sized pub with all the woodwork painted in blue, including the bar area and orange upholstered banquette seating. Thankfully no loud background music on our visit. Four handpumps TT Landlord, Old Speckled Hen, Bradfield Farmers Blonde, and a Lilleys cider. This pub also had a pool table and a rear patio garden.

A large, single roomed village pub with fake beams. Painted in muted colours, it would have been nice if the background music had been muted too - or at least turned down a bit. Imagine if this was the only pub in your village and it was totally geared to people who can't exist without loud pop music and always have blackcurrent cordial in their lager. Or perhaps they go for fruit ciders, of which there was one here on the hand pumps. The other three had Sharps Doom Bar, Bradfield Farmers Blonde and Pheasantry Dancing Dragonfly. The latter was quite a decent 5% pale beer (NBSS 3). I'm glad it was easy drinking as I had to get away from that loud music.

A perfectly adequate locals' pub with one open plan room extending on the side round the bar. It seemed to have a bright. modern feel from the blue and white paintwork, although the Xmas decorations might have helped. There is a pool table and darts to one side, with a few TV screens, and live music on Saturdays. Courtyard outdoor area at the rear in what was presumably once the car park, which is probably sensible as there is a public car park close by. On handpump were Bradfield Farmers Belgian Blue, Pheasantry Dragonfly, Doom Bar and a fruit cider. The beer was in good nick and I would happily call again.
