Graham Coombs left this review about The Victoria
A good solid backstreet pub, nicely traditional with some splendid stained glass windows. It has a two bar layout, with pool and darts in the sporty side, equipped with leather banquettes and chairs, all in good trim. Most importantly, it felt like a proper pub. Cask ales on were Chatsworth Gold, Abbeydale Retribution, Thornbridge Crackendale and Black Sheep Best.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Victoria
This pub has a good size interior and on our visit we enjoyed the bar side, which is on the left hand side of the entrance. A few of the locals were in enjoying a game of darts and later the footy was showing on a large wall mounted TV. The pub is spotlessly clean and the beer quality was excellent. Four beers and handpump, Wainwright Gold, Chatsworth Gold, Bradfield Farmers Blonde and Black Sheep.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Victoria
Comfortable side-street pub, with the main bar and the pool room to the left as you enter, and a separate lounge on the right-hand side. Traditional furniture with the wonderful old Wards windows. Four cask beers on handpump: Black Sheep, Wainwright Gold, Bradfield's Farmers Blonde and Chatsworth Gold from Peak Ales.

Lovely old Wards pub in a quiet back street. Four hand pumps with three regulars - Black Sheep Best, Sharps Doom Bar and Peak Ales Chatsworth Gold - and a changing beer on the fourth. Friendly welcome and my beer was very good (Black Sheep NBSS 3.5 to 4, £4/pint). I would always include this on a Brampton Mile excursion.

Will Larter left this review about The Victoria Inn
A back street local with excellent stained glass windows which declare it to have been a Wards pub. Now with four real ales on hand pump, including two from local Brampton brewery, plus Black Sheep Bitter and GK Abbot Ale. The sound from the TV was channelled through some rather large state of the art loudspeakers, the only refuge from which was in the room housing the pool table, though here the furniture consisted of undersized chairs that didn't encourage a longer stay.
As part of the Brampton Mile, this provides the link between the pubs on Old Road and those on the main A619 Chatsworth Road, but please note that opening time is 3pm through the week. This part of the Brampton Mile has two pubs that would be destination pubs in their own right, so the Victoria suffers a little by comparison. If you are not irritated by the TV blaring, you might want to stay longer than I did.
