Abode Bar, Chester

An hotel with a bar & brasserie on the 5th floor but accessible to the public. The brasserie is at one end, the bar at the other. Comfortable chairs and tables, some in booth format, there is a quad T-Bar of unexciting beers. The lavatories are referred to as “bathrooms”. This is also an hotel that knows how to charge for stuff. Other than the nice view of Chester castle etc, not much to say. There’s a bar on the ground floor to the right accessible from inside and outside the hotel, but it was shut on my visit, it didn’t look any more interesting than the 5th floor one and didn’t have a view of anything except a busy road.
