Cask here just Okells best bitter. Keg offering of Guinness, Carling, Fosters, Orchard View cider

Large lump of a pub, surrounded by its own car park. There is a little picnic bench seating by the rear entrance. Inside the public bar is bare boarded with the bar counter a three-sided affair off the wall opposite the entrance with some tall stool seating pretty much along its full length. There are some regular and tall tables, mostly around the bay windows and a carpeted stage area at one end with a life size fibreglass Elvis figure playing the guitar occupying pride of place on the stage. There is a dartboard on the stage and the TVs around the space were tuned into Sky Sports News on my visit absent sound that provided by a belting music soundtrack. The lounge bar is a very pleasant space. Carpeted with regular tables and chairs and some nice banquettes under the windows serving taller round tables. There are a couple of dartboards in here also above a stone fire-grate hosting a log burner that looks like it is in play in colder and darker parts of the year and the walls have a fair amount darkly coloured wood panelling. There is a bar counter in the corner serving a subset of the beers in the public bar. Would be a really decent venue with a slightly expanded cask range.

This pub is a little out of town, but is on a bus route. Heating seemed full on so a little uncomfortable for me, but it was a friendly community local with locals being involved in sports judging from trophies. It was full of footballers who looked as though they were the pub team, back from a match. Plenty of friendly banter. Enjoyed the Hobgoblin.
