Traditional locals' pub a little away from Douglas town centre, but firmly part of the local community.
Last time I was here, I sat in a front room with access to the bar. A central corridor serves two separate rooms off to the left-hand side and beyond that the former gents-only bar, also with access to the bar and a games room at the rear down some steps.
Sitting in the gents-only bar this time around, handpulls offered the regular beers Okell's Bitter & MPA, along with their St Nick & Douglas City Ale & Greene King Abbot. A couple of Timothy Taylor beers (one was certainly Boltmaker and I think the other was the Dark Mild) were about to come on. Whether there were any further beers on in the front room, I'm not sure. However, I was quite happy with my St Nick.
Well worth a vist and I'll upgrade my score from 6 to 7.

This is a friendly pub on the bus route just outside the centre. Friendly landlady selling a good range of 8 Okells beers through 2 rooms. We enjoyed the Eastern Spice, Alt, and Spring Ram.
