Wyre Piddle, amusingly named for those easily amused, sits high on the north bank of the Avon, though it's difficult to tell from the street. The Anchor isn't much inside, usual olde worlde stuff majoring on food, drinkers get short shrift in a corner. So come on a nice day and venture out the back, where' you find a wonderful set of terraces cascading to the moorings below. It is surely one of the best places to enjoy a summer afternoon for some distance, and doubtless murder on a weekend.
Beer range mundane, Enterprise strikes again, Pride was a guest for heaven's sake, but that may also be due to the hot weather: I guess most, like us, were on lager.
Well worth a midweek visit.

This pub has recently been taken over and had a refurb, and looking to be a part of the local community. We chose Pershore Piggy in the Piddle and Butcombe Gold both of which were fine.

Hvae been here a few times . Good selection of beers to start with and offered alot but the current landlord has just left after Enterprise inns put up the rent. Shame because its ideally situated on the river and served some decent food.
