Old Boots left this review about Spring Bank Tavern
An old looking corner pub but rather badly modernised inside although some scruffy separate areas remain. The pointy corner bit has a DJ booth, he was fiddling with his laptop when I popped in. That former first room leads down a step into a larger area with the counter, roughly L shaped with three pulls on one face with Wilde Child Brownie Hunter (in wood for that day’s SPBW crawl), and two from Wensleydale, it has three unused beer engines on the shorter face. Beer quality was pretty good. Three T-bars, one is devoted to cider, and a solo for keg drinkers. A mix of odd board and laminate floors, a machine, there’s little decor apart from various national and band flags on the ceiling. An odd place.

Will Larter left this review about Spring Bank Tavern
Having reopened four years ago, the Spring Bank has gained a reputation for good cask beers, though I noticed that a set of three hand pumps near the front door were not in use. The other set had two beers on, plus a Thistly Cross cider and two other pump clips situated nearby making three ciders. My half of YBH Faithful (from local brewery Yorkshire Brewhouse) , a 4.6% stout was luscious and delicious (NBSS 4 or possibly 4.5) while the Wensleydale Both Ends Burning, a 4.6% pale didn't live up to its name, unless it was meant to be a little reminiscent of the morning after - I jest, it was NBSS 3 or possibly 2.5,but paled a little in comparison to the stout. (I paid £4.20 for the two halves.) The publican was friendly, and not just because of my Leeds Rhinos shirt - we had just beaten Hull KR and he's a Hull FC supporter.
