Will Larter left this review about Spring Bank Tavern
Having reopened four years ago, the Spring Bank has gained a reputation for good cask beers, though I noticed that a set of three hand pumps near the front door were not in use. The other set had two beers on, plus a Thistly Cross cider and two other pump clips situated nearby making three ciders. My half of YBH Faithful (from local brewery Yorkshire Brewhouse) , a 4.6% stout was luscious and delicious (NBSS 4 or possibly 4.5) while the Wensleydale Both Ends Burning, a 4.6% pale didn't live up to its name, unless it was meant to be a little reminiscent of the morning after - I jest, it was NBSS 3 or possibly 2.5,but paled a little in comparison to the stout. (I paid £4.20 for the two halves.) The publican was friendly, and not just because of my Leeds Rhinos shirt - we had just beaten Hull KR and he's a Hull FC supporter.
