Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Kings Arms
Solid-looking pub on the left-hand side as you leave the railway station and head towards the town centre. Closed in 1958 for 51 years apparently, but the interior of the compact rectangular bar has been refurbished recently with light decor and bare boards exposed on the floor. Slightly odd mixture of furniture, including unusual 'double-decker' tables with high chairs plus smaller tables with regular chairs or padded stools. Good value food. Little dining room to rear. Unobtrusive background music. Five real ales on handpump: Wells Eagle IPA, Deuchars IPA, Potbelly Hog Waller and two from Woodfordes - Wherry and Once Bittern (£2.70 and in fine form). Also has two ciders, a scrumpy and a perry available. All listed on the 'Ellie's Ales' board. Seven more listed on the 'Next beer's up' board. Overall, a first-class establishment and well worth a visit.
