Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Kings Arms

Very traditional old inn in the centre of the village, with a wonky 'black-and-white' facade as you would expect in this area. Whilst the interior has been slightly opened-out and modernised, the mix of seating / dining areas and side rooms retains a lot of character. The food service was efficient too, and everything appears well run. Wainwright (£3.90) and Pedigree available from two of the four handpumps.

C15th black and white timbered building that is as classic an english inn as you could ever hope to meet.

Mainly catering for (rich) diners... two real ales on - Boondoggle from Ringwood was in decent condition.

Old Boots left this review about Kings Arms

A half timbered building inside and out, in that style usually called "rambling". It's mainly given over to dining, although casual drinkers are admitted. Four pumps with just Hobgoblin and Boondoggle running on a mid-week lunchtime. Open plan with two areas round a big chimney and a third room to the far side of the counter, all are on varying floor levels. There are multiple seating choices in the usual variety of styles, at wooden tables, the decor is non descript english country pub. A pleasant enough pub but certainly not a don't miss for beer drinkers.

Lovely multi-roomed pub serving real ales from various Marston's breweries. We tried Ringwood Boondoggle and Jennings Dark Mild. Both good. The other beer was Brakspear Bitter. Low beamed ceiling and plenty of brasses around. Tables set for dining in some of the rooms. An ad board for Live music. Delightful garden.

General Staal left this review about Kings Arms

The Kings Arms is a white rendered and black timbered building in the Tudor style. The literature on the tables inside suggests that the building is fifteenth century. It has a beer garden to the rear.

Internally, the pub is a warren of smaller rooms or alcoves off the main bar. It is white and bare brick, with beams. It appears unaltered, but I suppose must have been 'opened up' at some point. There are plates and horsebrasses and other traditional ephemera on display.

The place does food, but I didn't sample it.

Beerwise are the usual suspects plus four real ales spread across up to eight taps. Those on during my visit were, Martson's Bitter, Ringwood Showman's Tipple, Pedigree and Jennings Lakeland Stunner. I was driving so, even though I was sorely tempted to have a pint of ale, I had a pint of diet coke instead.

The pub was empty when I arrived, but even so, it had plenty of atmosphere and charm and would be somewhere I could come back to and sit and drink all afternoon.

I have scored the pub an 8/10 on its charm and beer choice - I have never seen the Ringwood or Jennings beer on offer before, its usually the bitters. I would need to actually try the beer to give it a higher score.

Recommended!
