This seems to be the farthest pub out of Corwen, but it was the busiest - maybe that's just because my visit was the latest in the day. The car park had about a dozen cars in, and I spotted a good few players in the pool room (darts also available), the public bar had no seats left and a crowd around the bar counter, but the small room on the left was empty. (There seemed to be another room or rooms at the back, but I didn't explore further.) Just one hand pump, but this was used for advertising as my server went into the back bar to pull me a half of Three Tuns Best 3.8% (£5.20/pint), a much better beer in my opinion than the more frequently seen XXX. Certainly this one deserved its Very Good mark on the revised NBSS (I still think of it as a 4). I think I was ok driving after three modest halves in one hour and 40 minutes - I hope the others here each had a designated driver to see they got safely home.

Reopened April 2011 after long closure. Refurbished/rebuilt in original layout.
Real Ales - Thwaites Wainwright plus 1 guest ale.
Open 7 days (12-3, 6-9) for meals
