A couple of the fitter/more efficient PuG crawlers popped in here en route to the Chesterfield. Very well-presented exterior and the inside isn’t too bad either - if a bit plain - though it was very busy so hard to get much of a look beyond the cursory. Two ales at the bar, the TT Boltmaker was minging but was exchanged without quibble for a much better Wainwright (NBSS 3.5).

A good traditional 2 bar local, bustling and cheerful, with sports screens in the front bar and a pool table in the back. There were two cask ales on: TT Boltmaker, which was retrieved by the barmaid as quickly as she served it, having gone decidedly off; and a less-exciting Wainwright, although that proved to be in very good condition. A perfectly adequate local, although rather overshadowed by its near neighbours.

My first visit here for a number of years. I'd been intending to call in at the Chesterfield Arms, but this one seemed to have been spruced up a bit so I thought I'd pop in. The manager was friendly and welcoming and there were two real ales and a cider on the bar. I went for the Butcombe Original, which was in very good condition (NBSS 3.5); the other was Wainwright.

The Industry is a decent looking stand alone pub that is situated just off the newbold road,just to the north west of the town centre if you dont have the faintest idea where Stonegravels is.
Once inside there is a smart oblong shaped lounge to the right,this room was carpeted and had comfy bench seating,there was a TV to the right showing vintage TV which looked like a very strange programme,there is a smaller seperate room to the rear left which is square shaped,this room is set aside for diners and had tables laid out.
There were three pumps on the bar,two had no clips on and the third had its clip turned round,i asked for a drink of real ale,but was told it was not ready yet,i had a drink of keg Stones biter which was ok but nothing special.
The pub was fairly busy with locals.
This is a decent enough pub just a shame about the lack of any real ales.

A few years back this was a bit of a destination pub: Good Beer Guide listed and the landlord was a real ale enthusiast, but he moved on and the Chesterfield Arms next door went strong on real ales, so that now it's more like an estate pub. Still a classy building, and quite pleasant inside, but the choice of real ales is now limited to two, and the hand pumps are hugely outnumbered by the massed gleaming ranks of the lager and smooth fonts. Not just John Smiths extra smooth but John Smiths extra cold too.
In fact, on my recent visit the Hobgoblin pump clip was turned around, leaving me with Hobson's Choice: the one remaining real ale. Fortunately the Timothy Taylor Golden Best was in good condition, and reasonably priced at £2.40, but it's hard to recommend this pub to real ale drinkers when there's a permanent beer exhibition just 20 metres away.
