A modern pub, a Harvester, which is part of the same complex as the adjacent Travelodge, which which it also shares a car park just off the A40’s Golden Valley roundabout. It’s rather sterile, lacks atmosphere and feels like it’s out-of-the-box, with TV screens and gaming machines as accessories rather than being put there for people to enjoy. The jukebox is just annoying. The staff were pleasant enough though, even if they couldn’t quite manage to pour a full pint. Two ales on, Doombar and Bombardier, both hideously over-gassed and tasteless. OK if you’re desperate or bad weather stops you going further afield.
