Bar to the left as you enter with a large room at the rear for diners. No real ales, of course - just standard keg rubbish.

Now no longer a pub and once the Sir Walter Scott, rebuilt in 1909.
Mainly now a café, but you can just have a drink if so desired with a view out over the canal in oh-so-fashionable Broadway Market where if you don't sport a 'gay bear' beard and checked shirt, you'll look right out of place.
A great brunch of a Rueben sandwich (8.5 units) or ham hock hash, similarly priced at 8.5 units. Has this place not heard of the '£' sign?
No longer a pub, but a great place for a top-notch fry-up. Avoid ordering the tea as it's absolutely disgusting. Warrants a 6 for the quality of food. Two points deducted due to the bloody baby screaming throughout our stay - babies belong in a womb, not in a social environment: keep them at home until they are at least 21!!!

There's no real ale here, but they did have Camden Pale Ale, Crate IPA (£2.85 a half!), something called Schiehallion, some lager, plus Prosecco all on tap. Being a cafe there were condiments on the formica topped tables, but as I wasn't eating I didn't ask the waitress for a menu.
I sat in the front "cafe" part of the room, but I saw that there was a slightly more upmarket in appearance area at the back that looked more like a bar than a cafe. There were a few benches outside on the pavement, being well patronised on the warm and sunny day when I visited.
This was more cafe than bar when I visited (although it may change in the eveining), and although it's nowhere near being the best pub in the area, it was handily placed when I was ready for a drink at 11.30 AM.

The Market Cafe is a corner bar that is at the bottom end of Broadway Market, this was originally called the Sir Walter Scott.
Once inside there is a single square shaped room with the bar on the left side, the seating is normal tables and chairs.
There were no pumps on the bar,but there was a choice of keg crap,i had a drink of Camden Pale ale which was cold and tasted similar to most of these types of beers i have had, which is nothing special.
The bar was packed on my Saturday dinner visit with most people dining, but drinkers are made just as welcome.
I prefered Stories just up the road to this bar.
