Right outside the entrance to the train station this pub isnt sure what it wants to be , open almost 24 hours a day it tries to cater for all , the bar is straight ahead when you enter ,to the right is a small dancefloor with DJ booth and a small plush lounge area , the decor is pretty tidy and clean , unlike the locals , its chav and dropout central with a very unhealthy atmosphere . Usual tap stuff with 3 types of Guiness(Oridinary , Extra Cold , Red)and 1 handpull with Hancocks Bitter at a bargain £2 a pint . It handy for the station and the beers cheap , but i wouldnt recomend it

The nearest pub to Wellington Station (the clue's in the name), the station is a truly awful establishment, but it does serve a purpose. It was probably, in the heyday of rail travel, a grand establishment, and its architecture still offers something to those interested in such things. That it is being used now as a venue for entertainment is laudable, but sadly it has become a haven for the stupid and socially inept as well as the small minority of its customers who, like me, want only to get a fair pint outside normal hours. It's noisy and crowded, but you can at least get to the bar, and the service was friendly (unlike the bouncers who just behaved like they were looking for an excuse).
I had a much-needed pint of Davenport's Kerfuffle which seems to be the house beer - usually a decent pint, but in this case served much too cold. I will probably go back when travelling to/from Wellington by rail or when everything else is closed, but it's not somewhere to recommend for a crawl or a quiet night out.

Intended to pop in but the group of undesirables F`in and blindin by the door and the Kareoke blasting out at 4 in the afternoon put me off to say the least
