Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Globe Inn
Old inn, sold by Shepherd Neame but thankfully reopened in late 2024 after a worrying period of closure. Two-part, L-shaped layout with basic furniture and a eclectic mix of decoration. Looks and feels like a music pub, but there are also several sports TVs. Slightly surprisingly, all three handpumps were in use, all with Sharp's beers: Doom Bar, Atlantic (£4.00 as a 'Monday Club' price, even on a bank holiday) and Sea Fury.

A good old fashioned pub that has had a recent makeover.It has 2 distinct drinking areas and had 2 Shepherd Neame beers on tap.

Can be a bit difficult to get to the bar as the locals tend to spread out along it. It's a Shepherd Neame pub and usually has the full range, although on my last visit there was no Bishops Finger, which I think is a must in Shep's pubs. Right on Red Lion Square where the High Street bends around towards the canal.
