Alan Winfield left this review about The Stonegravels
When i first visited this pub it was called the Crown and Anchor.
The Crown and Anchor was a John Smiths tied house with a decent drink of John Smiths handpumped beer on the bar.
The pub has had a big makeover and is now called the Stonegravels.
Once inside there is now a single decent sized L shaped room, the bar faced, the seating was comfortable bench seating around the edge of the room with chairs and small stools, there was a pool table to the rear right which was in a small area off the main room.
There was one real ale on the bar, this was Black Sheep bitter which was a very nice drink.
The pub was very busy on my Saturday afternoon visit with a good mixed bunch in,there was also a very livly atmosphere.
I really took to this pub, nothing posh here but i really liked this pub.
