Smart hotel with a bar that is open to all. Has a decent bunch of regulars as there's nowhere else to get a pint around here except the Clock Tower round the corner. Unusually for a hotel it has a good range of changing real ales, five on when I visited. They have three local beers on, plus a couple from further afield. I had quite a few of them as I was staying here. All were well kept as well. It's obviously a hotel bar from the décor, with some comfy seating along with high tables for dining (bar food available) and a quiz machine but it doesn't really feel like one. A bit pricy as you would expect, but worth it.
