Strongers . left this review about Baroosh
Baroosh is Mcmullens attempt at doing trendy bars and I think that they have done a reasonably good job as I’m more of a traditional pub fan, but I still liked it in here. It is expensive, but the brand is aimed at younger people with a larger disposable income than your average Wetherspoons regular.
Unsurprisingly there is no real ale, but Peroni and Erdinger are both available alongside a standard draught range. Food is also served, but it wasn’t that busy in here during my late Saturday afternoon visit so I didn’t see anyone eating.
There are two floors with a huge glass frontage covering both, but unfortunately on this visit the upstairs area was closed for a private function so I did not get to fully investigate. The downstairs bar is open plan at the front, but there is more intimate seating in the raised section at the rear. There is also some café style waitressed seating out the front which is roped off from the high street.
I liked the funky back music and would return, although I cannot comment on what this place is like during the evening – hopefully it does not get overrun with teenagers spoiling for a fight.
