Blue Scrumpy left this review about Fidlers Rest

The Fidlers Rest, named after a local explorer and not a mis-spelling of a musician, is a local pub in an area of housing to the west of Bolsover. It sits quite high up and enjoys nice views across the Peak District and to the nearby Bolsover Castle.

The single room has a tiled floor. Walls are painted in different shades of purple. A brick fireplace has a TV above it. This was showing live FA Cup football on mute. Music was playing instead. There is also a dartboard and a sweet machine to the left of the entrance. A patio at the front has a few picnic tables for any nice weather.

Whilst I didn't think this was a Greene King pub, the ale range was disappointing with just Abbot & Old Golden Hen across the 4 handpulls. Belhaven Black was on keg and the cider was Stowford Press. Only cash is accepted. Not the worst pub in Bolsover, but a little disappointing.
