Real Ale Ray left this review about The Britannia

The main bar is on the right of entrance and had a good atmosphere from the locals after work. There were 5 pumps with 4 on serving Bradfield Farmers Blonde, TT Landlord, Stones and Lilleys Mango Cider. There was a small lounge on the left of the bar area and a large room down the back with TVs screens. Everywhere was painted in grey, so I thought the interior was quite drab.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Britannia

Good-looking old pub, although the multi-room interior has refurbished in a surprisingly light, plain (almost austere) style. Also has a few wooden benches on two side at the front. Landlord, Bradfield's Farmers Blonde, Stones (£2.00, half) and Lilley's Mango cider available from four of the five handpumps

Will Larter left this review about The Britannia Inn

An old village local that has, many years since, been swallowed up by the suburbs of nearby Chesterfield. Most of the pub has been opened out into one large irregularly shaped room, but there is a small room to the left of the entrance that still retains the feel of the old cottage-type pub this once was. The low beams and stone fireplace feel original, though the latter is sadly blocked up. For the remainder, Sky sports on a big screen and an understated smell of fried food bring us back to the modern world, though the hanging baskets of spring flowers which adorn the exterior walls are a pleasant modern addition.

There are three hand pumps, with two Brampton ales plus Stones Bitter. Not to be missed if you're doing the Brampton mile, but otherwise probably not worth the trek out from the town centre.
