Fairly small pub with the bar itself seemingly taking up most of the space. The front part of the pub feels quite cosy. The area to the rear of the bar feels a little tight and cluttered. Condiments on each table highlight the emphasis on food. There are some chef's specials on a board and a Sunday roast is served. It was suggested that this was the best roast in Hertfordshire. Just one guy and his dog were in and he had ordered some food. Admittedly, the food did smell very nice.
TNT Sports is advertised. One TV in the front was showing a music channel. Another to the rear of the bar was showing cricket. There is also a small garden to the rear.
The bar has a couple of handpulls. Fuller's London Pride was the solitary ale. There were awards for Greene King IPA from the brewery on the walls, suggesting that it used to be or still is the other beer. But there was no sign of it on this visit. The cider is Aspall's.
I'd be interested in trying the food if ever here again but I wouldn't rush back for the beer.

Attractive looking pub in the suburb of Park Street just 5 mins walk from the station of the same name. Quite small inside with two distinct areas. I've only visited on a Sunday lunchtime so it has always been filled with diners. Beers available were GK IPA and Abott that was served a bit colder than perhaps it should have been.
