Will Larter left this review about The Apple Tree
A conversion of a former village shop, though apparently before the present building there was originally a pub on this site. The main room has typical shop windows, though it feels publike enough once inside, with pictures of local scenes on the walls and a number of generic pub- or alcohol-related witticisms ("alcohol is the answer, I can't remember the question"). My arrival coincided with a Sunday afternoon coach party going to Ludlow races just down the road, and the licensee was dealing with a bigger crowd than he normally gets. I had a half of Ludlow Stairway, which was in good condition. The other two beers were also pale, blonde or gold: Wye Valley Hereford Pale and Ludlow Gold; most of the racegoers seemed to be drinking lager. Opening time is 5pm during the week but midday on Fridays, weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays. There's a quiz once a month and the first beer festival here was two weeks after my visit.
