Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Yew Tree Inn
Proper village pub, although still quite difficult to work out from the road whether it's actually open or not. Anyway it was, with quite a plain but attractive bar on the car park side. You can glimpse the other bar (possibly more of a dining room?) through the door behind the central servery, but I did not see what's there. With three of the four handpumps in use, I found Wye Valley's Butty Bach, Baldwin IPA from Bewdley and Ludlow Gold (£4.30) being poured.

Staying nearby one Sunday, I walked here for an evening drink. On approaching, I was fully prepared for the pub to be closed, as the sign was not illuminated and the room in darkness. However, the other room on the car park side had lights on and fire lit, so I went in. It was quiet, with a group of four people just about to leave and just the landlady and barman remaining. The larger room in darkness had four hand pumps on the bar, with, in the live room, just two offering Wye Valley Butty Bach and Salopian Shropshire Gold. This room had a fireplace at each end, suggesting it used to be two separate rooms. I don't know if they were waiting for me to leave so that they could close, but clearly the external gloominess was not going to invite any passing trade. My beer was in good condition - I had a half of each, neither of which would normally feature on my list of favourite beers, but they went down nicely on this occasion.
Date of visit: 11th February 2018 (The pub was subsequently closed but has now reopened under new ownership according to WhatPub.)
