A restaurant cum bar just off the city centre, the ground floor bar is long and thin with a counter at one end. Apart from a couple T Bars of the usual stuff there are three pumps with a well kept couple from Wye Valley and on my visit Otter Bitter from Devon. There’s a mix of tiles and boards on the floor and the furniture is a bit of a mix of wooden tables and chairs with a nice bench seat in one window coupled with Britannia tables. The beams have slogans painted on them, I won’t bore you with any, some are ok others just daft. There is piped music and with the screens, machines, speakers and other bits and pieces not a lot of wall space for anything else. Various areas are screened off with Georgian style windows and low walls which is quite cosy and the archway at one end is available for sitting under semi-al fresco style. There is a restaurant upstairs which accounted for the lack of bar staff downstairs when I was there.

Situated in a side street this pub has a small groundfloor bar with a dining room above.Three hand pumps but only Wye Valley Bitter was on but a good pint. A bit small for ease of wheelchair use. The customers were mainly the older set.
