What an unusual pub this is. Right on the platform of this tucked away local station, it’s a basic keg only community boozer in a very decrepit state. Presumably owned by the rail company who spend nothing on it, at least it hasn’t gone the same way as Appley Bridge which is completely derelict. There’s a pool table, sports TV and a broken jukebox. Some dubious picnic tables scattered around outside and a bloke playing guitar for the decent crowd of after-work customers. Despite the uninspiring beer and depressing state of the interior I couldn’t help but find some charm in it, it’s a bit of an outlier.
