Strongers . left this review about Old Wirral Hundred

The Old Wirral Hundred was busy during a recent balmy Thursday evening visit with lots of people milling around the bar area under a large cheshire hundreds map that is painted on the ceiling. The L-shaped serving counter on the left wall towards the rear supports standard and premium keg alongside four hand pumps. The Razor Back was off, but Wainwright, Eagle IPA and Brakspear’s Gravity were available. Televisions throughout, including in booths that run along the rear, were all airing Olympics coverage via the BBC. The sunken right-hand side has more seating and at the rear is the Capenhurst function room. Live Entertainment is advertised for both Friday and Saturday evenings. I thought it was alright in here and would pop back in if passing.

Al Bundy left this review about Old Wirral Hundred

Situated on a main road and a good walk from Capenhurst rail station. Its a modern pub serving a couple of real ales.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Old Wirral Hundred

Modern Marston's pub which looks like a large bungalow from some angles. The large bar is irregular in shape, offering a variety of seating areas. Standard 'value' menu. Large rear beer garden. Only two of the four handpumps were working, offering Hobgoblin and a so-so pint of Ringwood Best Bitter. (NB - Review dates from September 2011.)
