E TA left this review about Corrigans
A seaside pub/diner which evokes memories of childhood poverty, 1960s boredom and cultural oblivion. One end is laid out as a dining area, the other is the bar with no real ale watched over by The Staff That Time Forgot. Between this Scylla and Charybdis-like pairing is a stage which still hasn't had its pole fitted (I hope I've got that right – any other purpose for this feature is too frightening to contemplate). The Artex ceiling is a nice 'worst of the 70s' touch, though. Outside, with a good view of the main road, are some picnic benches which seem solely for smokers' use. There is nothing resembling real ale in evidence, but I did have a light-and-bitter for nostalgia's sake. I don't think I'll be back for another one, though.
