Strongers . left this review about Blacksmiths Arms
A couple of years ago a drink driver crashed a van into the Blacksmiths arms and destroyed the front porch which had to be removed during a short period of closure, so the pub isn’t as picturesque as it once was. The pub itself is also not as it once was because it now has a Jamaican theme with Caribbean food being the major draw. That said, it is still a pub with an L-shaped bar stool lined serving counter to the right that supports premium keg alongside four hand pumps, two of which were in use drawing Long Man’s Copper Hop and, obviously, Harveys Best. To the left is open plan seating on a laminate floor and there’s a dart case on the wall, but many tables sit on what would be the oche. Out the back is some covered seating where the reggae music from inside the pub is piped out to. The best spot is by the kitchen extractor fan where the wonderful smelling food is most noticeable. I overheard the governor telling another customer that he’d been in the pub for eight years, so this is a well-established business. This isn’t somewhere I’d go just for a beer again, but I will return at some point for the delicious smelling food.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Blacksmiths Arms
Looks like a traditional village pub, but it now seems to have something of a Caribbean feel given the background music and some of the menu. Anyway, it has a partly opened-out L-shaped layout with several different seating and dining areas but all are quite small and relatively basic. A raised patio area can also be found at the back beside the main (car park entrance). Two Harvey's beers available from the three handpumps: Sussex best bitter and Old Ale (£6.70 with a packet of peanuts).
