Much as described by JAQPTIO below, this roadside pub looks quaint from the outside. The car park is gravel, making it slightly hazardous for motorcycles, and there is an outside seating area at the front of the pub. Inside the dining room still occupies the original building, and the barn-like extension has been given a faux-rural feel with the thatched bar counter, various rural bric-a-brac around the walls and a very welcoming stone hearth with an active woodburner. Ales on were Proper Job, Jail Ale and Otter Amber, all in average condition. The keg options were Cruzcampo, Guinness, Madri, Devon Red and Inch's ciders. Not a bad pitstop.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Wheelwright Inn
Very attractive village pub with a thatched roof. However, the main entrance now leads to the bar in a newer single-storey extension on the right-hand side, although the counter has its own thatched canopy underneath the ceiling. The original building now houses the dining rooms, and there's also a patio beer garden at the front. Proper Job and Otter Amber (£5.00) available from two of the four handpumps, with a reversed Otter Ale clip on another.
