personally I do remember it as the Blue Anchor and it was crap. you may still think it's crap. is it a Spanish tapas bar or still a pub? it wouldn't be top of my list for places to go for a meal or a drink. but it's quite pleasant all the same. three decent real ales to try and friendly staff.

Entry down an alley into a seating area. Bar up steps to left then on right hand side. Zenith IPA @ 5% ABV on hand pump.

Not sure what its trying to be. Restaurant, pub, wine bar or bistro. Is in two parts ( 3 if you wanna be pedantic) consisting of the bar area and separate rooms split between an indoor alleyway. It alright but looks more foodie. Real ales available.

We had dinner here last Thursday. Down stairs is the comfortable bar area and upstairs is the Tapas restaurant, which was very busy and obviously very popular. There was a choice of real ale. The staff made us very welcome and the food was very good value. If I lived in Lancaster I would be a regular customer methinks!

Not great, six handpulls on the go make it look better than it is. The atmosphere was a strange mix of dead, yet rough. The decor didn't help, it was a bit manky disguised by lots of blue lighting though the building itself is quite nice. The beer was of dubious quality, the sort of thing a decent landlord should eliminate by a quick taster during the day. Pub is quite large and has two areas, the left area mainly populated by dubious types. Lancaster has so many good pubs that this place is a complete non-starter
