Much extended Mock Tudor pub, with the original building dating from 1810. Lovely beer garden. Inside, the extensions are there for dining and it looked very posh. Quite high end gastro.

That said, I warmed to the place when I saw they had an Oktoberfest promotion on. Lots of blue and white bunting, some Currywurst and Bratwurst and a number of Oktoberfest beers - most in bottles, but Hofbrau Oktoberfest on draught. Even available in 2 pints steins. How deep is your wallet?

The pub is far more in keeping with its upmarket village setting now, refurbished into an independent gastropub. Very pleasant bar area as you enter, with everything else extending into restaurant space. A few real ales on with nothing from Greene King, my Mobberley IPA was really nice though with a serious price tag and it took some time for the barman to notice me. The beer garden is rather lovely and was my seating of choice.

Large mock Tudor Greene King pub built around the beginning of the 18oo's. You step down into the pub with the bar positioned on the right hand side with a selection of four Greene King ales, and no guest ale to be seen. The pub is one long narrow space, which is mostly geared up for dining. I thought the pub was uninspiring and the décor was tired and knocked about.

Lovely pub though food orientated. Relaxing beer garden at the side and quite a suntrap in summer.
