Another open and shut case, re-opening at the end of 2017 after a brief period of closure this country pub is a dimly-lit, two-roomed affair with exposed stone walls and flagstone floor with a tiny bar located in the right-hand room as you walk in against the rear wall. Both rooms' tables were commandeered with people dining, so a pleasingly return to form shtick-wise. Three ales comprised Sharp's Doom Bar, Black Sheep Bitter and Hook Norton (a half of the latter £1.70 in good shape and served in a half-handled vessel). A small fireplace in the bar room housed a modern burner with a goat's head mounted above. A dartboard was spotted in the corner to the left of the fireplace, but not sure if it gets used (tables in front). A good return to form.
