A gastropub with no truck with sole drinkers and an all locAle four ale line-up means they're one step ahead of a lot of country pubs in the area (Hillside Over The Hill, North Cotswold Shagweaver, Stroud Budding and Cotswold Lion Shepherd's Delight if you're interested). It's obviously an old place been well-renovated as the ceilings are low with the old exposed beam, although despite the majority rendering there's the odd bit of exposed stone poking out. Bar snacks included Rarebit (£4) and Scotch Egg (£7.50) which gives you an idea of what to expect here. Having said that, it's located by a triangular green which has bench tables in, so a clement day would make these worth commandeering.

To be honest its more of a posh restaurant than a pub, but there is a comfortable if rather small side bar, with 3 handpumps if I remember rightly serving local ales. Not really my cup of tea.
