Oh dear. I had the misfortune to stay at the Premier Inn located next to the Watermill twice this month. Although the hotel is of the usual Premier Inn standard, nice clean comfortable beds and decent rooms, the pub/eatery next door is woefull. The staff seem to have little idea what they are doing, the food is mediocre and to cap it all, they have no idea how to keep beer. Along side the line of chrome taps selling various lagers, ciders and keg GK IPA, there is a lone London Pride pump. I'm pretty sure that firstly thier real ale turnover is tiny, judging by what the other punters were drinking. Secondly, by thier own admission, the staff do not know how to keep and serve proper beer. On my two visits, the Pride was like dish water and I refused to touch it. If you are looking for real ale, this is not your pub.
