A stand alone pub on the corner of Hilltop Park on the edge of Dronfield. Food-led, as such pubs tend to be, with four hand pumps offering Timothy Taylor Landlord and Theakston Light foot at the time of my visit, with what looks like Bradfield Farmers Blonde turned around. The Landlord was fine (NBSS 3, £4.90/pint). I was here at a quiet mid-afternoon period, having attended a noon kick-off at the Coach & Horses ground, temporary home of Sheffield FC, the oldest football club in the world. It's a decent walk from there, with a rewarding pint at the end. This is a pleasant pub, with a modern but traditional look to it, including some wallpaper depicting a timber-framed wall with infill bricks. A plain wall opposite has some quite nice photos, if anyone prefers something authentic.

The Hyde Park Inn is on the southern edge of Dronfield and it is quite high up.
Once inside there was a central bar serving two rooms but these had been slightly opened out,the left side was the larger and this room was carpeted and had leather bench seating around the sides and normal tables and chairs in the middle of the room.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter and this was a decent drink the other beers were Jennings Cumberland and Tetley bitter.
The pub was very busy as there was a wedding group in.
