basically the same as ROB’s review but with Landlord in place of GK IPA. a basic (in a good way) locals pub, right next to the station and handy for a pre-train pint. Almost all customers early Friday evening were middle aged men chatting near the bar. Several friendly dogs running around and greeting everyone entering the pub. It may be rocker/biker friendly judging by some of the clientele and live music is advertised for Saturdays and Sunday. Burscough has a nice little trio of proper pubs in the middle of the village and this one certainly fills a particular niche very well. I was very tempted to deduct a point for playing Christmas music in the middle of October though…

This pub is pretty much one large lounge, but there are a couple of dartboards in a separate area. There's a friendly pub dog (once he's had a couple of growls he then rolls over for a tummy tickle. There's a very large patio at the front with bench seating and music playing quite loudly. Once inside the music is much more muted. There are several large screen TVs and a Quiz Machine. There are 2 handpumps which were serving Greene King IPA and Thwaites Wainwright. The Wainwright was a nice pint. It's a decent enough pub and very close to the railway station. So it's an ideal place to wait for your train.

Now called the Bridge. Adjacent to the railway station and football pitch - crowded with supporters on match days. Good food in separate eating area, reasonably priced
