Although not as enthusiastic as the previous two reviewers I would still rank the Salutation as the best of the three Keyworth pubs. The pub has the the most authentic feel of the villages pubs with timbered low ceilings and a mixture of hard wood and carpet around a central Island bar. There was also a decent outside seating area at one side of the pub that we enjoyed on a hot day. Beer wise I was slightly disappointing compared to previous listings as the options were Pedigree, Doombar, Bombardier, oxford Gold and Wainwright form the big brewers. The oxford gold was decent enough but very expensive at 3.85 a pint. I would call in if ever in the area again as mentioned it offers the best selection and proper pub experience in the village.

Caught a 3.2 bus here from Kinoulton and found this to be a fantastic pub. The bar is a large island serving from 2 distinct seating areas. Most tables laid for food, and plenty of people eating here so we joined them. There are 3 beers on either side of the bar, Bombardier, Abbott and Castle Rock Harvest Pale on the one side, and Theakston's Lightfoot, Robinsons Unicorn and Tetley Gold on the other side. These were the changing guest beers and were in good condition. Pub was friendly and comfortable.

The Salutation used to be an Ind coope tied house and it has still got Ansells signs outside the pub.
once inside here the pub has a very cosy feel to it with small stools and bench seating, there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of London Pride and this was a decent drink there was also GK IPA and Bombadier on the bar.
I was very comfy in this pub and could have stayed in here all afternoon.
