A very similar line-up to what Ray reports below (four local beers plus Pedigree), and like him I have an objection to pubs being painted grey - thankfully in this case it's only the interior. I would quite like this one if it wasn't for the totally annoying "background" music. It's like being in a disco, loud and bass-heavy, just with nobody dancing. My beer, local Brampton Brewery's Golden Bud, was very good (NBSS 3.5) and might have been a 4 if it hadn't been just a bit too cold. The pub likewise might have been better than 6 in my estimation if it hadn't been so noisy, and grey.

This is a good sized stone built corner pub, which is Grade II listed. Unfortunately the interior has been given the grey painted everywhere look. The bar area still looked smart and a lit coal fire added a bit of ambience to the place. The barman was attentive and knew his beers. Five pumps with four in use serving Whim Ales Hartington IPA, Peak Ales West Coast IPA, Eyam Riley's Gold and Marstons Pedigree.

The Queens Arms is a nice looking stone built pub that is almost next door to the Peacock.
Once inside the pub has been knocked into one very long narrow room which had the bar facing as you entered.
The room had a fairly modern look to it with large leather settees to the right and also leather bench seating with large chunky wooden stools, the left side had more traditional seating with upholstered bench seats and normal table sand chairs, the room was carpeted except in the bar area which had bare boards.
There were four real ales on the bar all from the Marstons stable, we had a drink of Banks's bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Pedigree, Jennings Cumberland and Ringwood Old Thumper.
There was a steady trade in the pub and it had a decent atmosphere, children were also allowed into the pub.
We thought this was a decent pub to have a relaxing drink in.
