Soup Dragon left this review about The Green Man
A detached white rendered Georgian styled cottage pub, eatery and B&B, with patio, beer garden and children's play area at the back.
The interior has two rooms, to the left and right of the central entrance, both served by a central serving bar. The bar room, to the left, is in cream with white and white painted beamed ceiling, brown carpet and a plain brick fireplace. Small, with a few tables, stools at the bar and with a pool table, there is also a TV, showing the news at my visit. The service was fine and the locals congregated in this room. There was no music. The other room is a lounge/dining room and was really busy serving Sunday lunches. I didn't eat, so can'tcomment on the food, but the smell was lovely! It is also in cream and white, with a white painted brick fireplace and a blue carpet. There was a TV (not on) and there were a few clocks and other bits of ephemera.
Beer; tap stuff with GK IPA, Bombardier, Deuchars IPA and a decent Hook Norton Bitter on handpull.
I really liked it here. Good use of the two rooms to cater for all and a good atmosphere. A decent choice of perhaps more well known real ales, but the Hook Norton finished it off nicely. Definately woth a visit.
