Located as it is above a bank, it would be easy to miss the ground floor entrance to this pub and go into the bank by mistake. This might be necessary anyway, especially if you're having a meal, as food prices aren't cheap. Drink, too, is relatively expensive by the standards of the town, with Guinness selling at £3.50 a pint. A good selection of other draft options includes Tennent's, Heverlee, Menebrea and Pabst Blue Ribbon lagers, Caledonia Best, Bearface Beer, Drygate Glad Eye IPA and Magner's cider. The aptly named lounge consists of a square shaped, wooden floored room with a square shaped island bar in the middle. The combination of flowery wallpaper, bright lighting, mainly sofa seating, a single muted television and low level music give it too much of a "living room" feel to it, however, so it wasn't really my cup of tea. There is also a restaurant adjacent and a roof terrace, which I wasn't able to access, unfortunately as it was winter.
