E TA left this review about Rosie's Wine Bar - Bistro
This narrow-fronted wine bar and bistro is deceptively large inside. There is a main bar at street level, a basement restaurant and a mezzanine, and there is a garden at the back which is actually quite pleasant. The bar is popular with jazz fans, as they host regular live jazz evenings. The main business is from the bistro, which offers freshly cooked food. It’s popular with parties and sells itself as a venue for small wedding receptions and similar events, though the main custom seemed to be from family groupings and couples. The wine selection is OK, and there is one handpump on the bar, supposedly dispensing Doombar, but it was off when we visited. Bottled Doombar was offered as an alternative, but we stuck with the wine. The food was a bit fussy, but well cooked and enjoyable. Worth dropping in for dinner, but I wouldn’t include on a crawl.
