The exterior of the building informs us this was once the “Lecture Hall and School” of the York Central Mission Hall. Now of course it’s another high priced bar-restaurant type place in a small area stiff with the things. You can just buy a drink from one of the dozen keg taps but they like to greet and seat.

Sister bar to The Biltmore next door. This has much longer opening hours and is rather more casual. It's got a much wider variety of drinks on the bar, although the wine list is longer it still doesn't have any tasting notes which is poor. Friendly bar staff and an eclectic music selection. It serves Tex=Mex food which looked good although we didn't dine here we may well do in future. No cask ale sadly, but the did have Salt Jute on keg, which is what I had.

Excellent sister bar to the more glamorous Biltmore next door but it has an atmosphere of its own and the main draw is the excellent hearty Tex Mex / Burger type fare that is both generous in portion size and well priced. It does get full quickly at tradtional lunch times so try to miss this and you'll have a good experience and get a seat quickly.
