A traditional pub with an island bar and some standard pub fixtures and fittings, this place survives primarily on its relative proximity to Selhurst Park, making it a thriving match day venue.
London Pride and Ringwood Best (£2.70) were the only options on the four pumps, although the Ringwood was very good.
There is a beer garden out the back but the sun gets blocked by a modern looking games room which adjoins the rear of the building and takes up virtually all of the garden space. A pool table could be seen through the window of this room and there was a dart board in the pub itself.
On a non match day the pub has a nice traditional feel to it and is worth checking out on a crawl of the area.
