First port of call from the railway station on our crawl round Leicester. The Pub has a great range of beers, including dozens of belgian bottles. I settled on a pint of Joshua Tree, which whilst there was nothing wrong with it, it was a bit limp. We sat out the front in the sunshine and were treated to a first in beer drinking. The barmaid came out with a pitcher of iced water and a stack of glasses so that we could all remain hydrated! Thats never happened before and i bet it never will again. Great starting place for a crawl round Leicester but not a place to stop as the decor and interior is more student hangout than real ale drinkers hide out. Will call again at some time.

Loved this 2012 Good Beer Guide pub despite it being full of Ulstermen dressed up and waving flags and bursting into song before going out to be beaten by Leicester Tigerrs, so a good atmosphere in the bar. 15 handpulls dispensing a good variety of beers from micros. TV showing football. Good food menu, and we enjoyed our bagettes with chips. Had a look at their internationnal bottled menu which was impressive. It is situated on a long walkway and is opposite council offices, and is another not to be missed pub for Leicester visitors.

Gets a high rating for the vast selection of beers from here and abroad. For me the atmosphere is a bit lacking and it's a long barn of a room. But probably better when there's more people in it [lunchtime visit]. A must-visit if you're in Leicester though.

You should overlook the dreadful name and pop in. There's a narrow room appointed in a fairly modern style with tables along one side and bar on the other. This is 'a' pub that's serious about beer, with 3 banks of 5 handpumps devoted to smaller breweries near and far, as well as a kegged range that avoids the usual suspects to include the likes of Pilsener Urquell plus some well-stocked fridges with a strong Belgian influence.
I always make a point of coming here if I'm in Leicester and I recommend that you do too.

Long narrow modern bar, serving up to 15 ales from micro brewerys,as well as a good selection of draught and bottled continental beers. Well cooked food from a small menu is served lunch time and early evening.
Well worth a visit.
